Kraftwerk

Kraftwerk

Kraftwerk combines electronic music with computer animations, videos, and performance art. Through this interplay, the band creates a “total work of art” at its concerts. The historic Bauhaus Building serves as a unique backdrop.

The multimedia project Kraftwerk was founded in 1970 by Ralf Hütter and Florian Schneider. By the mid-1970s, Kraftwerk had already achieved international recognition for their revolutionary electronic soundscapes and their musical experiments with robotics and technological innovations. With their visions of the future, Kraftwerk created the soundtrack for our 21st-century digital age. Their legendary works, which feature synthetic voices and computerized rhythms, have had a major international influence on a wide range of musical genres: from electro to hip-hop, from techno to synth-pop.

In November and December 2025, Kraftwerk kicked off their new multimedia tour in Europe, with 13 cities in Germany in particular. Now, in August, the Bauhaus Dessau will also serve as a venue for the multimedia tour.
