Interactive format: Bauhaus Dessau × Modulor

As part of the 100th centennial of the Bauhaus in Dessau, the Bauhaus Dessau Foundation’s educational programme ‘Neue Verbindungen’ is bringing its experimental approach to Berlin – and will be hosting an event at Modulor.

In this open, hands-on activity, modern materials are explored in a sensory and surprising way: glass, concrete and metal are viewed not merely as building materials, but as living vessels of sound, texture, light and meaning. Through hands-on experimentation, participants discover just how versatile and dynamic materials can be – and what stories lie within them.

The participatory format is open-ended and functions like an experimental toolkit that can be explored individually. With no set programme, the focus is on immediate sensory experience and independent discovery: together with Moritz Appich, materials can be tried out, heard, felt and observed.

“Neue Verbindungen” is part of the inclusive outreach programme marking the Bauhaus centennial in Dessau and brings the anniversary to Berlin in an experimental way.
