Open Workshop: Green impressions

Open Workshop: Green impressions

In the Open Workshop, participants produce photograms using the sap of green leaves.

To do this, printing paper is coated with the chlorophyll-containing plant sap and objects, negative films or writing are arranged on the paper as desired. The paper is then exposed to light. The UV radiation in the sunlight causes the chlorophyll to decompose and turn a light brown colour. A rich green colour remains in the areas covered by objects. The prints can then be stored in the dark, but gradually lose their colour and can only be kept for a few weeks to months.

For young people and adults aged 14 and over.
