A flower emerges

A flower emerges

In this interactive tour, we encounter the museum as a landscape. On a joint stroll through the ground floor of the Bauhaus Museum Dessau, we will sharpen our perception by questioning the plants in the exhibition space.

Using the delphinium as an example, we look at the tense relationship between nature and cultivation, breeding and design, collecting and conservation:

What journey have the delphiniums already been on? Why is the museum not a place for plants? What do blue flowers have to do with art? And how did the Bauhäusler take their environment as a model for their design ideas?

Low-threshold perception tasks and research assignments encourage both young and old visitors to engage in dialogue.
