Ehrlich.

What constitutes moral behaviour? Jörn Klare’s new play explores this question using the biography of architect Franz Ehrlich as an example. Bauhaus avant-gardist, member of the Communist Party of Germany (KPD) and resistance fighter, concentration camp prisoner, SS employee, member of the Socialist Unity Party (SED) and Stasi informant. The play grapples with the classification of a contradictory and complex biography against the backdrop of Germany’s turbulent 20th-century history. Play in German by Jörn Klare, performed by the Anhaltisches Theater Dessau theatre company.
