As part of the student project “Reconstruction of an L-shaped residential building by Ludwig Hilberseimer for the Dessau-Törten Housing Estate”, three housing estate development models were created in 2019 under the direction of Philipp Oswalt, in addition to a model entitled “The Growing House”.
These models illustrate the urban transformation of the entire area from its planning and development in the mid-1930s to the present day.
They were donated to the Bauhaus Dessau Foundation in 2020 and can be seen in the current exhibition Bakelite | Glaze | Colour.
Andreas Butter, Bauhaus Dessau Foundation, will explain the special features of the building’s design and relate them to the historical and political events of the time.
As part of the event, there will be a curator’s tour of the exhibition Bakelite | Glaze | Colour starting at 5 pm The lecture will then begin at 6 pm.
