This hands-on workshop invites participants to discover the creative possibilities of concrete – beyond the traditional construction site perspective.
Following a brief introduction to concrete as a design material and an overview of concrete composition, participants will translate architectural elements onto a smaller scale. They will create their own moulds, cast them, remove the objects from the moulds and finish them.
By the end of the event, participants will not only have gained an understanding of form-based manufacturing processes and basic knowledge of concrete as a design material, but will also take home a custom-designed architectural concrete planter or a jewellery object.
For young people and adults aged 14 and over.
