In this open workshop, the Bauhaus Dessau Foundation archive opens its doors for special explorations.
Together with employees of the Bauhaus Dessau Foundation, participants discover original modernist objects and explore their traces and stories using photographs of the objects.
A tour of the archives provides an insight into how archive material is handled. What is required before an object in the collection can go on tour? What constitutes a suitable environment for object photography, what digitisation options are available, and what ultimately ends up in the archive database?
We invite you to get to the bottom of things and encounter them anew through object photography, and to try your hand at being a researcher in the collection archive database.
For young people and adults aged 14 and above.
