Soda | Lentils | Fluff

In 2025, the artist Antje Schiffers and her partner Thomas Sprenger travel to selected sites where raw materials are extracted. They visit locations involved in the manufacturing and sale of cement, bricks and glass in Saxony-Anhalt, Cuba and Türkiye. They return with objects from their travels and stories about encounters along the way. These are exhibited on shelving taken from a former brick factory, the Alte Ziegelei in Westeregeln, Saxony Anhalt, which is now a museum and a listed industrial and architectural monument.
