Writing about nature means creating a language for what it means to be a part of nature today as a human being – or finding words for the disappearance of nature and thus also the basis of our own existence. On the occasion of the exhibition Delphinium Maximum, this event in cooperation with the German Environment Agency is dedicated to the literary genre of nature writing.
On this afternoon, Kenah Cusanit and Jan Röhnert will read from their latest publications: the essay “Senatore Capelli” and the essay collection “Wildnisarbeit”.
This will be followed by a discussion between Kenah Cusanit, Jan Röhnert and Oliver Klimpel (Head of Curatorial Workshop, Bauhaus Dessau Foundation), Fotini Mavromati (Art Officer, German Environment Agency) and Andreas Rötzer (Publishing Director, Matthes & Seitz Berlin) on the cognitive value of literature at the intersection of science, poetry and life practice.
