Open Workshop: From the idea to the gift

On the occasion of the anniversary To the Core. Bauhaus Dessau 100, the Open Workshop, led by model makers Henning Seilkopf and Holger Ziolkowski from the Bauhaus Dessau Foundation, invites anyone interested to get creative and design small Bauhaus gifts.

Inspired by historical wooden toys designed by the Bauhaus members over 100 years ago, you can build simple, clear and functional objects that bring the Bauhaus idea to life.

With the support of the workshop leaders, participants learn the basics of wood craftsmanship and discover how versatile this material can be used for shapes and creative ideas. From small sculptures and decorative objects to wooden toys – let yourself be inspired and take a piece of Bauhaus history home with you!

For anyone who enjoys crafts and design and would like a practical introduction to Bauhaus ideas.
