Bodies and Gestures

For the first time, the ground floor of the Bauhaus Museum Dessau will be used for exhibitions. Three new special exhibitions will open this evening at the Bauhaus Museum Dessau.

The work “Rhythm Is a Dancer” by Christina Werner can be seen in the foyer. “The Gesture Speaks“, curated by Niels Bolbrinker, Gerburg Fuchs and Torsten Blume, and “Bodies in Sync” by Clément Cogitore will be presented in the new temporary exhibition space.

The following will speak:

Gerburg Fuchs, movement educator, artist, curator: “The Gesture Speaks”
Clément Cogitore, artist and filmmaker: “Bodies in Sync”
Christina Werner, artist: “Rhythm Is a Dancer” followed by a performance

The opening will also feature an excerpt from the film “Dore Jacobs. Movement Pedagogue – The Gesture Speaks” by Niels Bolbrinker and a performance by Christina Werner will also be shown at the opening.
