Between theatrical scavenger hunt and online chat: the performance group machina eX presents their digital text adventure Lockdown in an adaptation for the Bauhaus Museum Dessau. The virtual hunt through Dessau Bauhaus locations is about Tess. She left for work this morning by bike and should have been back by now. Her mobile is off. The players set off on a search. Each of them separately – all together. The investigations, largely guided by text messages, lead across a virtual Dessau. Players browse through the city map, contact people by phone, solve arithmetic problems, receive voice messages or photos and crack puzzles to solve the case. The story leads to familiar and unfamiliar places on the Internet and is significantly influenced by players from private spaces.

machina eX combines modern technologies with the means of classical theatre and addresses important questions about the digitalisation of society.


Registration

Lockdown is a game for your own smartphone. It is played via the messenger Telegram. The app can be downloaded from the Google Play Store or the Apple Store. It is important that the smartphone is connected to the Internet during the game and has sufficient credit.
 
To participate, it is necessary to register for the game free of charge and at least 30 minutes before the start via Telegram at: https://t.me/lockdown_machina_eX.

Note on usage
Game participation and participation in the Jitsi meeting following the event are voluntary and at the participant's own initiative. Minors can only participate with the consent of their parent/guardian.
 
Note on data protection
The use of the messenger Telegram takes place at the instigation of machina eX. The Telegram username as well as the phone number will be stored by the machina eX group for the execution of the event. Following the event, the data will be deleted and will not be used further. Responsible for the collection, storage and destruction of the data is machina eX.
