For this intermezzo, El Hadi Jazairy and Rania Ghosn of Design Earth showcase 10 iconic UNESCO world tourism sites as figures of the climate crisis, including the Statue of Liberty (USA), Venice and its lagoon (Italy) and the Galápagos Islands (Ecuador).

Looking at four newly acquired fabrics by the Bauhaus artist, this intermezzo traces the product’s infrastructure from its initial design to the final industrially manufactured textile. Simultaneous with the exhibitions, Judith Raum will create an installation in the rooms of the historic textile workshop in the Bauhaus Building.

Bauhaus Building + Bauhaus Museum Dessau

This year, the Bauhaus Festival Week thematises the annual theme "Infrastructure" metaphorically and associatively as "Connecting Games".  
With installations and performances, dance and music performances as well as a film series, art and the festival are understood as cultural and social infrastructure that bring people together in ways that are not commonplace. In this way, guests at the Bauhaus Festival can experience and in part help to create "connection games" that arise between the strict geometric Appia stage and passionate tango, between music, acrobatics and architecture, or between the art figures of the "Triadic Ballet" and new Bauhaus cuisine.
